Here's How You Can Assemble A Computer In Two Minutes

Posted on 12:03 by Unknown
If you have a basic working knowledge of computer hardware and have always wanted to figure out how you could go about assembling a computer, read on, because we are bringing to you a tutorial on how you can connect a computer in under 2 minutes.

Here's all you need to begin with:

Asus Z87-A motherboard - $140
Intel Core i5-4430 Haswell 3.0GHz quad-core processor - $190
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB DDR3 SDRAM - $80
Radeon HD 5450 graphics card - $30
Rosewill wireless card - $10
Seagate Barracuda 1TB hard drives (x2) - $70 each
Optical drive - $20
Antec 550W power supply - $65
Corsair 400R mid tower - $100
Asus PB278Q 27-inch LED monitor with speakers - $550
Logitech M705 wireless mouse - $40
Logitech K120 keyboard - $11
Windows 7 Home Premium - $75
Total: $1,451

The first step to building your own PC is the installation on the motherboard. Lay the case on the side to proceed. Importantly, this step might need spacing screws so that the in order to make it level with the cut-outs on the back of the case. Either way the best idea is to ensure that one has secured the motherboard to the case by the use of the supplied screws.

Once this is done, one needs to place the memory into the slots that are recommended in the motherboard's manual. The security step here is to ensure that the memory clicks into place and is secure.

The next step is the addition of the CPU. This is the most critical and also the most delicate part of the computer. The best way to manage the step correctly is to handle it by its sides and then add the processor to the motherboard and secure it using the clamp. Then add some thermal paste. This is important because only once this is done can the heat be transferred from the CPU to the heat sink. Proceed to add add the heat sink and fan. As the final leg of the step, check that the motherboard's manual on where to plug the fan into for power.

Next, add any PCI cards into the corresponding slots. Keeping in mind the need for the components to get power, the next step will be to connect the power supply, which typically goes at the bottom of the case. Finish by tightening the screws to hold it in place. Now connect the power supply to the various components.

The next step is the addition of the hard disk and the optical drive. These ideally should just slide into the bays and either click into place or need to be secured using screws.

These two components require both data and power cables. Power cables will come from the power supply and data from the motherboard. Once you have accomplished this, you will need to connect the monitor, keyboard and mouse. Hit the power button following this. The power button will be found on the on the case.
